Mighty Mite

This was a personal project . My goal was to develop a full character in a classic comic parody style. He is a hero who is long on muscle and heart. In the inexplicable, yet long-standing tradition of naming heroes after icky bugs, I present… Mighty Mite!

Initial character bust blockout
Initial bust three view render from ZBrush
Early T-Pose sculpt on base for scale reference. During development I referred to this as the “Classic Wolverine” color scheme, which I subsequently discarded. I developed the base and the logo for the character at this stage as well.
Straight render of the final pose in the more dramatic steel blue/midnight black color scheme. I also added the cellular effect to the eye pieces at this stage and gave his costume a bit more of a tactical edge.
The final inked render comped from ClipStudio Paint and the raw render from Keyshot.
Full turn around character view with logo. ZBrush, Keyshot, comped in Photoshop.
